In the first year of the MA Strategic Human Resource Management, students complete a range of compulsory modules that build advanced expertise in HR strategy, leadership, and organisational effectiveness. The "Advanced Employment Law" module provides an in-depth understanding of complex legal frameworks governing employment, enabling students to ensure compliance and manage risk in HR decision-making. "Business Research in People Practice," a substantial 60-credit module, develops research skills for investigating strategic HR issues, culminating in an independent project that applies evidence-based solutions to real organisational challenges.
