COURSE CURRICULUM

The Social Work degree program is structured to provide a comprehensive foundation of knowledge and practical skills essential for a career in social work. Alongside academic studies, students undertake significant social work practice learning, gaining hands-on experience in real-world settings to apply their developing skills.The third year deepens this practical experience with continued social work practice learning and research, fostering advanced professional skills and critical thinking. Modules cover professional social work practice, research development, and working with risk and complexity, preparing students to handle challenging situations confidently. The curriculum ensures students are equipped to assess and manage complex cases, understand risk factors, and apply ethical decision-making.Throughout the program, students engage in a blend of theoretical study and practical placements that collectively prepare them to meet the demands of professional social work.
