In the first year, students explore current trends and issues in Fashion Hot Topics, examine the social, cultural, and historical influences on style in Fashion In Context, and develop critical understanding through the History and Theory of Fashion. Technical Processes of Fashion introduces practical skills such as garment construction, pattern cutting, and fabric manipulation, building a strong base for creative development. In the second year, the focus shifts towards professional preparation and specialisation. Fashion Business covers commercial and marketing aspects, while Fashion Industry Ready provides practical experience through live briefs, collaborations, and industry-led projects. Fashion Negotiated Study allows students to tailor their work towards personal interests and career goals, supported by Life After Staffs 1, which equips them with essential employability and portfolio development skills. The final year centres on independent, industry-standard work. The Fashion FMP (Final Major Project) enables students to showcase their design vision and technical expertise, while the Fashion Research and Analysis Report deepens critical investigation into chosen topics. Life After Staffs 2 continues professional development, and Professional Fashion Practice provides real-world experience to ensure graduates are prepared to enter the competitive fashion industry with a strong portfolio and career focus.
