COURSE CURRICULUM

The Risk Management master’s program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills in managing risk across organisational contexts. Core modules provide insight into enterprise risk management and insurance, emphasising the role of corporate insurance programs and broader risk retention strategies. Students study principles of risk management, acquiring critical skills to analyse and manage uncertainty within organisations, alongside project risk management, which explores best practices and alternative approaches in managing risk in project settings. Quantitative methods and quantitative methods for risk management equip students with statistical reasoning and techniques to characterise uncertainty and risks in finance and management problems. The risk-taking and decision-making module focuses on models and processes for making effective decisions in uncertain environments, helping students apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations. Optional modules allow students to tailor their studies to specific interests, including advanced analytics, corporate finance, credit risk and data analytics, corporate social responsibility and ethics, managing complexity, project management, and simulation.
