COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Human Resource Management program includes a series of core and optional modules designed to develop students’ analytical, strategic, and practical HR skills. Core modules cover contemporary issues and debates in HRM, examining workplace challenges such as diversity, change management, and organisational dynamics, alongside employee relations, focusing on conflict and collaboration within employment relationships. Organisational development explores strategies to enhance performance and implement change effectively, while strategic human resource development and strategic human resources management equip students with the knowledge to align HR practices with organisational goals and respond to evolving business pressures. Students also gain research skills through modules on quantitative and qualitative research methods, and the dissertation provides an opportunity for an extended, independent investigation of a chosen HR topic, culminating in a 15,000-word project that develops critical thinking and analytical capabilities. Key skills in communication and HRM further support the development of practical abilities in report writing, presenting, and professional interaction. Optional modules such as European Labour Markets and International and Comparative Human Resource Management allow students to explore employment policies, labour market dynamics, and cross-national HR practices, broadening their understanding of global human resource management contexts. Together, the program prepares graduates for effective careers in HR management across diverse organisational and international settings.
