COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Digital Strategy and Information Systems (DSIS) program equips students with the knowledge and skills to develop and manage digital strategies and information systems in contemporary organisations. Core modules provide a strong foundation in areas such as data analytics and organisational decision-making, exploring how data and technology can inform strategic choices and improve business performance. Students also study Information Systems Management and Strategy and Information Systems and Digital Technologies, which examine the conceptual, technological, and managerial aspects of digital systems in organisations. Human-computer interaction is addressed through modules that focus on user-centred design and the complexities of technology adoption, while Managing Digital Design and Web Development develops practical skills for designing and implementing digital platforms. Managing Complexity, Uncertainty and Subjectivity prepares students to work with ill-structured organisational problems, enhancing strategic and analytical thinking. The dissertation provides an opportunity for extended independent research on a topic of the student’s choice, integrating theoretical knowledge with applied investigation. Optional modules allow students to specialise in areas such as Advanced Analytics, Credit Risk and Data Analytics, Project Management, Project Risk Management, Simulation, Innovation and Technology Transfer, and International Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethics. Overall, the program blends theory, research, and practical application to prepare graduates for strategic, analytical, and leadership roles in the digital economy.
