COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Cancer Biology and Immunology program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the biological and immunological mechanisms underlying cancer while developing practical research skills. Core modules cover cellular and molecular cancer biology, immunology, and cancer genomics, giving students a strong foundation in the principles of cancer development, immune system function, and genomic technologies used in cancer research. The program also explores stratified medicine, focusing on how omics technologies can be applied to tailor treatments for individual patients, and cancer immunology and immunotherapy, which examines immune responses to cancer and strategies for therapeutic intervention. Students gain hands-on experience through laboratory skills modules, which teach essential techniques, good laboratory practice, and safety procedures, while research skills modules develop critical thinking, study design, and effective communication necessary for conducting and directing scientific investigations.
