COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Business Analytics and Management Science program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the theory and practical application of data-driven decision-making in organisational contexts. Core modules such as Foundations of Business Analytics and Management Science, Optimisation and Decision Modelling, and Simulation equip students with essential analytical, modelling, and computational skills, covering techniques from management science, system dynamics, discrete event simulation, and agent-based modelling. Students also have the option to specialise through elective modules, including Advanced Analytics, Behavioural Operations, Computational Methods for Logistics, and Data Analytics and Organisational Decision Making, which allow them to deepen their expertise in advanced analytical applications, algorithmic problem-solving, and strategic decision-making. Additional modules such as Financial Portfolio Theory, Project Management, Principles of Risk Management, Python for Business and Marketing, and Revenue Management provide applied knowledge relevant to specific business and financial contexts. The program also includes the opportunity to undertake a Dissertation or Summer Project, enabling students to engage in independent, research-based or industry-focused work, developing practical solutions to real-world problems. By integrating theoretical understanding, computational skills, and applied problem-solving, graduates are well-prepared for careers in data analytics, management science, business intelligence, and related fields, with the ability to support evidence-based decision-making and organisational strategy.
