COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM program covering Admiralty Law, International Law, and related legal fields provides students with a comprehensive understanding of global commercial, maritime, and regulatory frameworks. Modules on Admiralty Law examine the enforcement of maritime claims through the Admiralty Court, exploring key concepts such as claims in rem, ship arrest, and the legal principles governing shipping liabilities. Students also study the broader principles and liabilities affecting global shipping, including regulatory standards set by the International Maritime Organization. The course addresses contemporary issues in intellectual property, refugee law, human rights, insurance law, international competition, environmental law, and corporate governance, equipping students to navigate complex legal challenges in diverse contexts. Modules on international trade, including the Law of the World Trade Organization and international sale of goods, highlight the legal frameworks underpinning global commerce, while marine law courses focus on environmental regulations, insurance practices, bills of lading, and charterparties.
