COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLB Law degree offers a comprehensive program designed to provide students with a deep understanding of legal principles, systems, and their practical applications. In the first year, students study foundational modules including Constitutional and Administrative Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Environment, Sustainability and International Law, and Legal System and Reasoning, establishing essential knowledge of the UK legal system and core areas of law. The second year builds on this foundation with compulsory modules such as Equity and Trusts, European Union Law and the UK-EU relationship, Land Law, and Tort Law, while offering options like Commercial and Consumer Law, Criminal Justice, Employment Law, Family Law, Data Protection Law, Introduction to Commercial Law, Public International Law, and Youth Justice. These modules develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and an understanding of law in both national and international contexts. In the final year, students select advanced modules including Admiralty Law, Advanced Public International Law, Advanced Public Law, Carriage of Goods by Sea, Commercial Conflict of Laws, Company Law, Constitutional Law of Canada, Environmental Justice, Intellectual Property, International Human Rights Law, Legal Research and Writing, Miscarriages of Justice, and Theories of Law and Justice, among others. The program emphasizes legal reasoning, research, and practical application, preparing students for professional legal careers or further academic study.
