COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Psychology degree provides a comprehensive study of human behaviour, mind, and mental processes across three years. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules in behavioural neuroscience, individual differences, cognitive psychology, research methods and data analysis, and the psychology of attractiveness, with options to explore mental health or contemporary societal ideas. Year two develops understanding of development across the lifespan, perception, social psychology, clinical psychology, and empirical research skills, alongside optional modules in cognitive neuroscience, criminological psychology, global health, sustainability, and intercultural communication, fostering analytical, methodological, and applied skills. In the final year, students complete an empirical research project, applying quantitative and research methods, while selecting from advanced modules such as AI applications in psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychopathology, attachment and personal relationships, moral psychology, social and affective neuroscience, psychology of advertising, human sexual diversity, and digital health interventions. The program emphasizes practical and experimental experience, critical evaluation of research, and interdisciplinary learning, with opportunities to study educational psychology, global and social issues, and emerging topics in cognitive and clinical psychology. Across the degree, students develop strong research, analytical, and practical skills, preparing them for careers in psychology, mental health, research, or further professional and academic study.
