COURSE CURRICULUM

The adult nursing program is a three-year degree designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experience required to provide high-quality care across diverse healthcare settings. In the first year, students build a foundation in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and health assessment, while exploring health and care across the life course. They are introduced to professional practice, holistic patient care, and complete their initial clinical placements, alongside portfolio work to consolidate learning. In the second year, the focus shifts to public health, epidemiology, inclusion health, and palliative and end-of-life care, while students continue their clinical placements in acute, community, and specialised settings. Research methods are also introduced to enhance evidence-based practice. In the third year, students study complex care and multimorbidity, leadership and innovation in healthcare, and choose modules in primary care, community nursing, or urgent and critical care, while completing final clinical placements. A student-led project allows independent research and data analysis to further develop professional and academic skills. Throughout the program, students combine theory with hands-on clinical experience, developing critical thinking, leadership, and practical skills, while being supported through each stage of their training to transition confidently into a registered adult nurse role.
