COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Financial Technology (FinTech) degree provides a strong foundation in finance, data analysis, and emerging financial technologies across three years. In the first year, students study core modules such as Foundations of Finance, Introduction to Accounting and Finance, Personal Finance, and Statistical Methods for Finance, gaining essential financial and analytical skills. They also learn about management, marketing, and digital tools, with options to study areas like Python programming, predictive analytics, and business technologies. In the second year, the focus shifts to advanced financial concepts through modules such as Financial Econometrics, Financial Management, Portfolio Theory, and Introduction to FinTech, where students explore topics like blockchain, digital currencies, and technological innovation in finance. Optional modules cover areas such as big data, ethics, human resource management, and environmental sustainability. In the final year, students undertake a major research project and study key topics including Behavioural Finance, Futures and Options, Cryptocurrency Investments, and Alternative Investments. Optional modules allow further specialisation in Climate Finance, Risk Management, International Finance, and Technological Innovation. Combining finance, analytics, and technology, this program equips students with the quantitative, programming, and strategic skills needed for careers in finance, fintech, data analytics, and global financial management.
