COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management and Human Resource Management degree equips students with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to manage people and organisations effectively. In the first year, students gain a foundational understanding of business in society, management, marketing, accounting, finance, and digital technologies, alongside modules that develop analytical and quantitative skills. Year two focuses on critical perspectives of organisations, human resource management, operations, consulting, and entrepreneurial management, with optional modules covering financial reporting, innovation, decision-making, ethics, and organisational philosophy. The third year builds on this foundation with advanced study in corporate social responsibility, employment relations, leadership, strategic human resource management, and strategic management, alongside opportunities to explore global business, project management, risk management, and technological innovation. Optional modules in the final year allow students to undertake independent research, develop advanced accounting skills, and examine international business and ethics. Across all three years, the course emphasizes ethical, responsible, and sustainable practices, providing students with practical and theoretical insights to prepare them for professional roles in a variety of sectors, including private, public, and not-for-profit organisations. Graduates leave the program capable of driving organisational performance, managing human capital strategically, and responding to complex challenges in a rapidly evolving business environment.
