COURSE CURRICULUM

The Aerospace Engineering degree provides a structured three-year program designed to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills across aeronautics, astronautics, materials, and propulsion systems. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules including Aerospace Electronics, Aerospace Materials, Data Science and Computational Methods, Introduction to Aeronautics and Astronautics, Introduction to Aerospace Design, Mathematics for Engineering, Statics and Dynamics, and Thermofluids for Aerospace Engineers. These modules establish the core understanding of aircraft systems, mechanics, materials, and fluid dynamics. In the second year, students advance their knowledge through modules such as Advanced Aerospace Systems Design, Aerodynamics, Aerospace Materials and Structures, Aerospace Mechanics and Control, Astronautics, Digital Aerospace Methods, Mathematics for Engineering Part II, and Propulsion, allowing them to integrate systems thinking, control theory, and spacecraft fundamentals with practical design skills. The third year focuses on advanced and specialised topics including Advanced Aerospace Mechanics and Control, Aerothermodynamics, Individual Project, Management and Law for Aerospace Engineers, and elective modules such as Advanced Aeronautics, Advanced Astronautics, Aircraft Structural Design, Concurrent Space Systems Design, Introduction to Aircraft Design, and Spacecraft Structural Design. Throughout the degree, students gain hands-on experience through design projects, simulations, and research, preparing them for careers in aerospace design, systems engineering, propulsion, and space technologies while developing expertise in both aeronautical and astronautical applications.
