COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Public Health program offers a diverse curriculum that builds knowledge, skills, and leadership for addressing global health challenges. Core modules include Sustainable Public Health, which explores long-term approaches to improving health outcomes, and Research Methods and Evidence-Based Public Health, equipping students with the tools to critically analyze data and apply research to practice. Protecting Health in Diverse Environments examines the impact of environmental, social, and cultural factors on health, while Leading Change develops the leadership and management skills necessary to drive improvements within complex health systems. Epidemiology and Biostatistics provide essential analytical techniques for understanding disease patterns and interpreting public health data, and the Public Health Project allows students to undertake an independent study, applying their learning to a real-world issue. Alongside these, students select an optional route to tailor their studies. The Health Promotion route focuses on promoting well-being and international family health, while the Public Health route explores governance and economics as drivers of public health policy. The Disaster Healthcare route, available for February or part-time students, examines planning for disasters, humanitarian emergencies, and their health implications. Together, these modules prepare graduates for impactful roles in global and community health improvement.
