COURSE CURRICULUM

The program offers a structured combination of core and optional modules designed to develop advanced academic and professional expertise. Core modules include research methods, which provide the foundation for critical inquiry and evidence-based practice, and a dissertation, completed during the first year for full-time students, allowing in-depth exploration of a topic relevant to the field. The Professional Practice Project further strengthens applied knowledge by enabling students to integrate theory with practical, real-world challenges within their profession. Alongside these, students have the opportunity to tailor their studies through a range of optional modules. These cover areas such as leading effective teams in health and social care, where leadership skills are refined to improve collaboration and outcomes, and legal, ethical, and professional issues in safeguarding, which explores responsibilities and challenges in protecting vulnerable individuals. Clinical-focused options include Clinical Conditions One and Two, offering detailed knowledge of complex health issues, as well as clinical assessment and diagnostics, which develops advanced diagnostic skills. Modules such as end-of-life care and the nature and scope of palliative care provide a deep understanding of compassionate, patient-centered approaches. Together, these modules balance theoretical insight with professional application, equipping students for specialist and leadership roles in healthcare.
