Quality in the Manufacture and Distribution of Medicines focuses on ensuring the safety, efficacy, and high standards of pharmaceutical products through quality assurance and management systems. Optional modules such as Medicines: Scale-up, Formulation, and Manufacture examine challenges in transitioning from laboratory-scale processes to large-scale production. Analytical Techniques and Quality in the Laboratory develops essential laboratory skills and method validation knowledge, enabling accurate analysis of pharmaceutical products. Advanced Formulation Science provides hands-on training in testing, characterisation, and formulation of medicinal products, with a focus on disperse systems, allowing students to explore projects of individual interest. The optional Toxicology module offers insights into the effects of toxic substances in controlled doses and their classification.
