COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Electronics and Information Technology program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with advanced skills in engineering, communications, and technology innovation. The course covers a broad range of modules, including Product Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which teaches engineers how to commercialize innovative products and navigate the entire product life cycle through multi-disciplinary case studies and projects. Applied Digital Signal Processing provides in-depth knowledge of filters, control systems, and advanced DSP system design, supported by specialised computer labs. Wireless Communications Systems introduces cellular communications from GSM to 6G, while Satellite Communications explores modern satellite system design, planning, and signal processing techniques. Digital Communication Systems focuses on theoretical concepts, simulation techniques, and real-world applications of digital communications, and Optoelectronic Devices for Telecommunications examines optical fibre communications and key components. Digital Systems Design Using HDL imparts skills in SoC design using VHDL and FPGA implementation, while Embedded System Design teaches real-time system development from hardware and software perspectives. Modern Power Electronics equips students with knowledge of advanced power electronics system design and component operation. The program culminates in a Masters Major Individual Project, allowing students to plan and execute an independent, industrially relevant research or engineering project. Through this combination of theoretical, practical, and project-based learning, graduates develop the expertise and experience necessary to excel in electronics, communications, and technology-driven industries.
