COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM Laws program combines compulsory and optional modules to provide students with a thorough understanding of legal principles while allowing for specialisation in areas of interest. The compulsory modules lay a strong foundation in essential legal concepts and research skills. Law of Obligations introduces students to core principles governing contractual and tortious relationships, providing a basis for understanding legal duties, rights, and remedies. Research Methods equips students with the tools to conduct rigorous legal research, critically analyse sources, and develop well-structured arguments, preparing them for academic and professional work. Frameworks of International and European Law examines the structures, principles, and interactions of legal systems at both the European and international levels, enabling students to understand complex cross-border legal issues. Optional modules allow students to tailor their studies according to specific career goals and interests. These include Corporate Law, Commercial and Consumer Law, and International Business and Competition Law, which focus on commercial, regulatory, and business-related legal contexts. Law and Order, Criminal Evidence and Forensics, and Transnational Criminal Law explore criminal justice, investigative processes, and the international dimensions of crime. Overall, the program develops critical thinking, analytical skills, and specialised knowledge, preparing graduates for careers in law firms, international organisations, government, and academia, with a focus on both domestic and global legal challenges.
