COURSE CURRICULUM

The Pharmaceutical Science program is structured over three years to provide a comprehensive understanding of drug development, molecular biology, chemistry, and analytical techniques. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge in the diversity of cellular life, genetics, and evolution, alongside core chemical principles including organic and inorganic chemistry, molecular structure, reactivity, and physical characteristics. Key skills for scientific careers are also introduced, preparing students for practical and research-based work. The second year focuses on applied pharmaceutical science, covering human molecular genetics, quality control and management in the pharmaceutical industry, formulation science, and pharmaceutical analysis. Students also study modern techniques in chemical analysis, synthetic organic and heterocyclic chemistry, and bioinorganic chemistry, gaining the practical expertise required for laboratory work and drug development. In the third year, the program emphasizes advanced concepts and independent research, including modern molecular advances, advanced analytical techniques, advanced organic chemistry, and medicinal drug design. Students also complete a major project, integrating theoretical knowledge and practical skills while developing career-focused competencies. Throughout the course, students engage in hands-on laboratory work, critical thinking, and problem-solving, preparing them for careers in pharmaceutical research, drug development, quality control, and related fields. The program equips graduates with the scientific expertise, technical proficiency, and professional understanding needed to innovate and contribute to the development of safe and effective therapeutic compounds.
