COURSE CURRICULUM

The Adult Nursing program is designed to develop competent, compassionate, and professional nurses ready to practice safely and effectively across diverse healthcare settings. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in the essentials of nursing practice, health promotion, and well-being, while learning to assess patient needs and create therapeutic opportunities. They also focus on developing confidence in practice through hands-on learning and supervised clinical experiences, ensuring the integration of theory and practice. The second year emphasizes enhancing assessment skills and delivering evidence-based interventions, while exploring professional, legal, and ethical issues in nursing. Students also develop critical decision-making skills in complex practice environments and learn to evaluate care using research and evidence, preparing them to respond to varied patient needs with informed clinical judgment. In the final year, the program concentrates on advancing therapeutic knowledge and skills, leading and managing high-quality care across healthcare settings, and developing proficiency as independent practitioners. Students also explore the role of the nurse as an educator, fostering the ability to support and mentor others. Through progressive clinical placements, reflective practice, and integrated theoretical learning, graduates emerge as confident, skilled, and autonomous adult nurses, ready to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a variety of professional contexts.
