COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science degree is a three-year program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in programming, software development, and computational theory, while equipping them with the practical and professional skills needed for a career in technology. In the first year, students gain essential knowledge in programming, computer systems, information management, assurance and security, mathematical tools for computation, and professional and employability skills, including enterprise and problem-solving. This foundational year develops critical thinking and analytical skills necessary for effective software development. In the second year, the curriculum builds on this knowledge through advanced modules such as data structures and algorithms, secure software development, operating systems concepts, event-driven and graphical user interface programming, and databases and data modelling. Students also gain experience in team-based software development, professional practice, and optional supervised work experience or study abroad, enhancing practical understanding and industry readiness. The third year focuses on advanced topics and individual specialization, including computer networks, robotics and autonomous systems, mobile systems and applications, parallel and concurrent programming, and intelligent systems. Students complete an individual project, applying theoretical knowledge and technical skills to real-world problems. Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on hands-on practice, collaboration, and employability, ensuring graduates leave with the expertise, experience, and confidence to pursue careers as software developers, programrs, system analysts, or to continue further study in advanced computing fields.
