COURSE CURRICULUM

This MSc Information Systems program is structured to develop advanced technical, analytical and professional skills for managing, designing and improving digital systems in modern organisations. Managing Information Systems provides a strong foundation in understanding how systems support business processes, strategy and decision-making, helping students learn how to plan, implement and manage complex digital environments. Research Methods builds essential academic and professional research capability, preparing students to analyse problems, evaluate evidence and support informed solutions. User Experience Design focuses on creating effective, user-centred digital interactions, while Web Product Development and Management develops skills in designing, developing and overseeing modern web-based solutions. Database Management strengthens understanding of data organisation, storage and retrieval, enabling students to manage information effectively and support data-driven decisions. Cyber Security and Information Systems addresses risks, vulnerabilities and protection strategies, ensuring students understand how to maintain secure and resilient digital infrastructures. The program culminates in a substantial Masters Project, where students independently investigate a relevant topic, apply theoretical learning to practical challenges and demonstrate critical thinking, innovation and professional competence. Together, these modules equip graduates with the technical expertise, strategic awareness and problem-solving ability needed for careers in information systems management, digital product development, cybersecurity, consultancy, data management and technology leadership across a wide range of industries.
