In this module, you’ll create a research proposal for a project of your choice, strengthening your skillset in core areas like methodology and applied learning. You'll focus on identifying research gaps, taking ethical issues into account, and documenting your data and literature sources. This preparation will lay a solid foundation for your dissertation, equipping you with the tools for a successful research project.The Dissertation/Major Project (60 credits) is a culmination of your learning, where you complete a small-scale research project and produce an academic dissertation or work-based project report. This module allows you to choose your research topic within criminology, apply ethical methodologies, conduct systematic research, and communicate your findings professionally. It will showcase your ability to manage a comprehensive research project, demonstrating your understanding of design, ethics, and academic rigor.
