COURSE CURRICULUM

The Professional, Academic and Research Development module (30 credits) prepares you for the challenges of Master’s level study and your future career. This module focuses on developing key skills such as critical thinking, communication, and project management. Through seminars and one-on-one support from a personal tutor, you will identify areas for improvement and create a personalized action plan to enhance your skills in presenting, researching, and contextual analysis. In addition, you will reflect on your career goals and strengths, gaining valuable insights into your future direction. By the end of this module, you’ll have a set of tools that will help you succeed academically and professionally.The Project Context and Definition module (30 credits) helps lay the groundwork for your final Master’s project. You will engage in critical review of your project topic, gather comprehensive research, and make informed decisions to define what new contributions you can offer to your field. You will learn to build strong theoretical, historical, and critical foundations for your project and use appropriate research methods to meet your creative objectives. The module encourages you to structure and present your findings clearly, ensuring you are well-prepared to tackle your final project with confidence.In the Project Design and Development module (60 credits), you’ll apply what you've learned to create an impactful final project, whether in the form of an artefact, exhibition, or academic paper. This module helps you navigate the complexities of original research and creative solutions, focusing on the relationship between your ideas and professional practice. By the end, you’ll produce a polished capstone project, demonstrating your ability to solve problems and innovate within your field. The Project Evaluation and Resolution module (60 credits) allows you to refine your work further, using feedback to bring your project to the highest standard, ready for professional presentation.
