The Construction Management and Safety module focuses on mastering project management strategies while championing safety in construction. In the Project Management Tools, Techniques, and Processes module, you will develop practical skills in using various project management tools and workflows. You’ll compile specialized toolkits and evaluate techniques in real-world scenarios, justifying your choices based on industry needs. This module will equip you to determine the best approaches for different situations and appraise the suitability of various project management methods across multiple contexts. The Strategic Management module enhances your strategic skills for managing construction firms. Through data analysis, you’ll tackle implementation challenges, recommend ethical solutions, and justify your decisions. In the BIM Theory and Practice module, you will delve into the digital world of Building Information Modelling (BIM). The Construction Law, Contracts, and Dispute Resolution module prepares you to navigate the complex legal landscape of construction. You’ll gain an understanding of laws, obligations, and contracts that govern the construction industry. You will also learn how to apply contract principles to avoid disputes, and if issues arise, you’ll be able to manage disputes through negotiation or litigation, bolstering your knowledge of risk management and safety law. Finally, the Dissertation module offers an opportunity to demonstrate your independent research capabilities.
