COURSE CURRICULUM

The program consists of two key modules focused on film, television, and creative project development. "Film and Television Theory" (30 credits) provides an in-depth exploration of the factors influencing the production and consumption of film and television. You’ll critically analyze the relationship between texts and culture, examining how societal, political, and economic factors shape the creation of media. This module enhances your ability to interpret complex meanings within visual storytelling, deepening your understanding of film and television theory.The "Context, Planning, Development" (30 credits) module blends creativity with critical thinking. It focuses on transforming raw research into a well-defined project, where you’ll conceptualize and develop a compelling body of work, supported by thorough research. You’ll dive into the theoretical and historical contexts that influence your projects and critically evaluate sources to enrich your understanding. The module also encourages you to explore different methodologies to shape unique research questions, while considering the social, professional, and legal factors that impact your work.
