COURSE CURRICULUM

The Research Methods module (30 credits) is designed to build your research skills, crucial for both postgraduate study and professional practice. You will explore various research methods from disciplines such as architecture, conservation, urban design, and interior design. By critically analyzing different approaches, you will plan and conduct targeted research investigations, using techniques like fieldwork, archival studies, and theoretical inquiry to enhance your ability to gather and analyze information effectively. You will develop a focused set of research questions and, with the guidance of an expert supervisor, critically examine relevant theories, contexts, and visual sources. This is a chance to test your ideas and combine knowledge from multiple fields into a structured and thorough investigation. Throughout the project, you will refine your analytical and communication skills, presenting your findings with professionalism.
