COURSE CURRICULUM

The Law program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles and practical skills across three years. In Year 1, the focus is on foundational modules like Contract Law, Criminal Law, Public Law, and The English Legal System. Students also engage in skills-based modules such as "The Art of Persuasion," which helps develop communication and presentation skills, and "Planning your Professional Journey L4," which focuses on employability, legal research, and client interviewing skills. These modules lay the groundwork for students to apply legal theory to real-world scenarios and build essential skills for a legal career.Year 2 continues with specialized modules like Equity and Trusts, Land Law, and Human Rights Law. The "Practical Writing and Professional Skills" module prepares students for the Clinical Legal Education program in Year 3 by developing practical legal skills such as research and interviewing. This year emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring students are equipped to handle complex legal issues in a professional setting.In Year 3, students engage with practical modules such as "Property Practice," which is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx). This module builds on the principles learned in Land Law and prepares students for professional legal practice. The program culminates in a balance of academic learning and practical experience, ensuring graduates are ready for careers in law and legal practice, equipped with both the knowledge and skills necessary for success.
