COURSE CURRICULUM

The Law program offers a structured path from foundational knowledge to specialized legal expertise across three years. Year 1 provides an introduction to essential legal principles, including Contract Law, Criminal Law, Tort Law, Public Law, and the English Legal System. Students develop research skills, legal reasoning, and the ability to apply law to real-world scenarios. The Understanding Criminology module further explores the origins of criminological thinking.In Year 2, students build on their foundation with more specialized modules such as Equity and Trusts, Human Rights Law, and Land Law. These modules deepen students' understanding of specific areas of law while refining their legal writing, research, and analytical skills. The Legal Writing and Research module is key to preparing students for complex legal tasks, while Questioning Criminology encourages critical examination of criminological theories.Year 3 focuses on advanced legal topics.ContemporaryCriminologies addresses modern criminological theories, while Criminal Justice and Human Rights looks at the intersection of human rights and criminal law. The European Union Law module offers an in-depth study of EU law and its practical applications.
