In Year 1, students build a solid foundation with modules such as Digital Filming and Technology, where they gain hands-on experience in filmmaking techniques and technologies. The Fundamentals of Visual Design module introduces graphic design principles, focusing on scale, space, and industry-standard software. Students also explore animation through the Introduction to Animation module, learning both 2D and 3D animation techniques. The Introduction to Interactive Development module allows students to design interactive web experiences using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while the Sound for Moving Image module focuses on creating soundtracks for films, enhancing their understanding of sound design and its relationship to visual storytelling. The User Experience Design module focuses on designing digital experiences centered on user needs, helping students gain a deep understanding of design thinking and empathy for users.In Year 2, students dive deeper into creative production with modules like Form and Function, where they explore the intersection of design, technology, and culture. Creative Production offers a comprehensive overview of digital media production, including screenwriting, cinematography, and post-production techniques. The Creative Research and Project Initiation module encourages independent research and project planning, setting the stage for the final year.In Year 3, the Final Year Project provides an opportunity for students to produce a self-directed creative or research-based project, showcasing their problem-solving and project management skills. The Vocational Project Portfolio module helps students prepare for the professional world by creating a portfolio tailored to industry standards.
