COURSE CURRICULUM

The Creative Computing program is designed to blend technical and creative skills, preparing students for roles in digital media, art, and technology. In Year 1, students develop core competencies with modules like 3D Modelling, where they learn to create virtual objects and environments through various modeling techniques. The Coding and Scripting for Games module introduces students to the fundamentals of game logic and scripting, providing a strong foundation in programming. The Creative Computing Exhibition Project allows students to apply project management skills by co-curating a public exhibition, while the Generative Arts module enables exploration of computational art. Students also gain experience in web development with the Introduction to Interactive Development module, creating interactive prototypes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The Sound for Moving Image module helps students develop sound design and music composition skills, preparing them for careers in the media industry.In Year 2, the Creative Coding Practice module encourages students to experiment with coding in various digital media, while the Creative Research and Project Initiation module helps them develop research proposals and plan independent projects. The Maker Lab allows students to prototype tangible creations using electronics and hardware, further refining their technical abilities. In Year 3, the Final Year Project provides an opportunity for students to initiate an individual creative, research, or professional endeavor, applying project management and problem-solving skills to produce a body of work that demonstrates their growth and readiness for the next steps in their careers. This project marks the culmination of their degree journey, showcasing their ability to tackle real-world challenges in creative computing.
