COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Animation and VFX program provides students with a thorough understanding of the tools, techniques, and processes used in the animation and visual effects industries. In the first year, students explore foundational concepts such as compositing, real-time 3D workflows, and 3D modeling for animation and VFX. These modules offer hands-on experience with industry-standard software, helping students develop technical skills while encouraging creativity. Students also learn to communicate their ideas visually, enhancing their ability to translate concepts into fully realized animated works.As students progress into the second year, they delve deeper into specialized topics like CGI lighting, look development, and real-time animation and VFX projects. These modules focus on refining technical abilities and artistic sensibility, providing students with the tools to create high-quality CGI and animation works. The year also encourages independent study through a creative research and project initiation module, where students can begin planning and researching their own projects.In the final year, students undertake a creative group project, where they collaborate with peers to apply their skills in a professional setting. They also focus on developing their portfolios and professional profiles in preparation for entering the workforce. The culmination of the degree is the Final Year Project, where students demonstrate their ability to manage projects, solve problems, and produce original work that reflects their technical proficiency and creative vision. This project serves as a showcase of their journey, preparing them for professional and academic challenges in the animation and VFX industries.
