COURSE CURRICULUM

The program is structured over three years, with core modules in each year to build a solid foundation in politics, sociology, and international relations. In Year 1, students explore key topics like British and global politics, international relations, and social inequalities through modules such as Analysing Politics: Britain and Beyond, Key Themes in International Relations, and Social Inequalities. Additionally, subjects like Observing Society and Political Thought help students understand societal structures and political philosophies.In Year 2, the focus shifts to more specialized areas, including Comparative European Politics, Doing Sociological Research, and Ideology and Politics, which offer in-depth insights into European political systems and the relationship between ideology and political practice. The Modernity and Globalisation module explores the impacts of modernity on global issues.In Year 3, students have the flexibility to choose from optional modules, allowing them to tailor their studies to their specific interests within the fields of politics, sociology, or international relations. This structure provides a comprehensive understanding of both theory and practical applications in these fields.
