COURSE CURRICULUM

The music technology program is designed to develop students' skills in both creative and technical aspects of music production over three years. In the first year, students are introduced to foundational topics such as composing through technology, creative computing for music, sound design, and studio recording techniques, which equip them with the basic skills to work with music and sound in various contexts. Year two builds on this knowledge with more advanced courses like applied music technology projects, composition portfolios, recording and production techniques, and sound design for video games. This year focuses on refining technical skills and exploring music technology in performance settings. In the final year, students engage in specialized projects such as a final year project, free composition, and collaborative sound projects. They also gain expertise in professional studio practice, spatial audio, and music composition for visual media. This comprehensive curriculum prepares students for a range of careers in the music industry, from production to sound design and game audio implementation, offering both creative freedom and technical proficiency.
