COURSE CURRICULUM

This architecture program offers a comprehensive and dynamic approach to architectural education, blending creative design, technical skills, and real-world experience. In the first year, students focus on developing foundational skills in communication, drawing, modeling, and visual representation. Modules like Design Communication and Portfolio and Design: Architectural Investigation equip students with the tools to translate their creative ideas into tangible architectural concepts. They also explore historical and theoretical aspects of architecture through Histories, Theories, and Matters of Concern, while beginning to understand the environmental and technological challenges in Technology and Environment: Exploration. The Architecture Study Exchange module offers a unique opportunity to study abroad, broadening students' perspectives and enhancing their global understanding of architecture.In the second year, students continue to build on these skills, gaining more specialized knowledge and practical experience. The final year culminates in the Design: Major Project, where students work on sustainable architecture projects, integrating their technical, environmental, and creative skills. Students also take on independent research through a Dissertation, exploring topics that align with their interests and future career goals. The Professional Practice module prepares students for the real-world demands of architecture, equipping them with the legal, ethical, and management knowledge required in professional practice. By the end of the program, students will have not only refined their design abilities but also developed a deeper understanding of architecture’s impact on society, ensuring they are ready for a successful career in the industry.
