COURSE CURRICULUM

This MPH Public Health program provides a comprehensive and forward-looking curriculum designed to develop highly skilled public health professionals equipped to tackle modern health challenges. Advanced Research Skills enable students to critically analyse data, apply research methods and contribute to evidence-based practice, while Assessing the Health Needs of Populations focuses on understanding community health priorities and designing effective interventions. Public Health, Epidemiology and Statistics build the foundation for monitoring disease patterns, interpreting health data and informing policy decisions. Health Protection and Health Improvement explore strategies to prevent illness, promote wellbeing and manage public health risks. Social Perspectives on Health and Health Policy examine how social, cultural, economic and political factors influence health outcomes and the development of fair and effective health policies. Strategic Management and Leadership in Health helps students develop the ability to lead teams, manage services and drive change within health systems. The Research Dissertation in Health provides an opportunity to apply learning to an in-depth independent project, contributing to real-world public health knowledge. Together, these modules equip graduates with analytical, practical and leadership capabilities, preparing them to work confidently in national and international public health roles, research, policy development, healthcare organisations and community health improvement initiatives.
