The MA Strategic People Management and Human Resources program provides a comprehensive and forward-looking curriculum designed to prepare students for influential roles within the HR profession. Business Context for the People Management Profession develops an understanding of how organisations operate, examining economic, social and organisational factors that shape HR strategy and decision-making. Contemporary Issues in Human Resources – an International Perspective explores global HR challenges, workforce diversity, cross-cultural management, changing employment trends and the evolving role of HR in international business environments. Strategic Leadership and Change focuses on developing the ability to lead people effectively, manage organisational transformation and support employees through periods of strategic development and restructuring. Strategic People Management builds advanced skills in managing talent, performance, engagement, wellbeing and organisational capability, emphasising how HR contributes to long-term organisational success. The Masters Research Project allows students to undertake independent research into a specialist HR or people management topic, strengthening analytical thinking, research skills and professional insight. Together, these modules combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, helping students develop strategic judgement, leadership capability, ethical awareness and a strong professional mindset. Graduates are well equipped for senior HR and people management roles in a wide range of organisations, both nationally and internationally.
