COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) International Hospitality Management course offers a structured learning journey across three years, developing students’ academic understanding, professional confidence and industry expertise. In Year 1, students build essential foundations through modules such as Academic and Professional Skills, Concepts in International Hospitality Management, Exploring Hospitality and Managing Events in Hospitality Businesses, which introduce them to key principles, sector expectations and practical event experience. Year 2 focuses on strengthening industry insight and managerial capability with modules like Customer Acquisition and Retention, Hospitality Property Management, Researching Leisure and The Professional Manager and Leadership, enabling students to understand customer behaviour, manage hospitality environments effectively and develop leadership qualities. By Year 3, learning becomes more applied and strategic, with advanced modules including Applied Food and Beverage Management, Hospitality Sustainability and Resilience, The Professional Project and The Strategic Business. These final-year studies encourage students to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts, engage in independent research, explore sustainable practices and develop strategic thinking crucial for senior roles in hospitality.
