COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed for a successful career in sports therapy. In the first year, students build a foundation in human anatomy and physiology, learn clinical examination and assessment techniques, explore sports therapy interventions, and develop an understanding of scientific exercise principles. The second year focuses on more advanced skills, including examination and assessment for musculoskeletal conditions, musculoskeletal therapeutic interventions, early to intermediate rehabilitation, and the effective use of data and communication in professional practice. These modules emphasize the application of theory to real-world scenarios, enabling students to develop evidence-based approaches to injury management and performance enhancement. In the final year, students consolidate their learning through advanced sports therapy practice, late-stage rehabilitation, performance testing, and a professional placement that provides hands-on experience in clinical or athletic settings. The dissertation component encourages independent research, critical thinking, and analytical skills, allowing students to explore topics of personal and professional interest.
