COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum spans three years. Year 1 introduces foundational concepts including Introduction to Psychology, Sport and Exercise in Society, and Research Methods. Students study biological and cognitive psychology, social psychology, and developmental aspects related to sport. Year 2 builds on this with modules like Applied Sport Psychology, Exercise Psychology, Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods, and Personality and Individual Differences. Practical skills are developed through group work and case studies. Year 3 focuses on advanced topics such as Clinical Psychology in Sport, Health and Well-being, an Independent Research Project, and optional modules like Coaching Psychology or Neuropsychology. The program includes a dissertation where students conduct original research. Throughout, emphasis is on ethical practice, data analysis, and applying psychological theories to enhance performance and mental health in sport settings. Assessments include essays, exams, presentations, and practical reports.
