COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Fashion Business and Marketing program provides a comprehensive blend of creative, business, and marketing skills tailored to the fashion industry. In Year 1, students build foundational knowledge through modules such as Discovering Your Subject, Fashion Principles, Introduction to Marketing, and Digital Marketing and Emerging Trends, developing an understanding of fashion concepts, consumer behaviour, and the role of digital media in modern marketing. Year 2 focuses on applying theoretical knowledge to practice, with modules including Research and Consultancy Skills, Sustainable and Ethical Fashion, and Fashion Business Management. Students can also undertake an optional Industry Placement, gaining 30 weeks of practical work experience that integrates academic learning with real-world fashion business practice, or select additional modules such as Performance Marketing or Relationship Marketing to further specialise their expertise. In Year 3, students consolidate their learning and develop advanced professional skills through modules such as Brand Innovation and Management, Social Media Marketing, and Communication Management, while completing a Capstone Project that allows for an independent, industry-relevant research or creative project. Throughout the program, students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial skills, preparing them for careers in fashion marketing, brand management, retail strategy, trend forecasting, consultancy, or for launching their own fashion ventures, while also building strong industry networks and practical experience.
