COURSE CURRICULUM

The Psychology Masters conversion course is structured around compulsory modules that provide a comprehensive foundation in core areas of psychology while developing essential research and analytical skills. Introduction to Research Methods equips students with the knowledge to design, conduct, and evaluate psychological research, forming the basis for their dissertation and future academic or professional work. Development Across the Lifespan explores psychological growth and change from infancy through old age, highlighting key cognitive, emotional, and social processes. Social and Cross-cultural Psychology examines how individuals think, feel, and behave in social contexts, as well as the influence of culture on human experience. Cognition and Neuropsychology focuses on mental processes such as memory, attention, and problem-solving, linking them to brain function and neurological conditions. Personality and Intelligence in Psychology introduces major theories and research into individual differences, addressing how traits and abilities shape behavior and outcomes. Brain, Behaviour and Mind offers an integrated view of biological psychology, connecting neural mechanisms with cognition and behavior. The program culminates with the Dissertation, an independent research project that allows students to apply their learning to an area of interest.
