COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Nutrition, Health and Wellbeing is structured around a series of compulsory modules that provide advanced knowledge and practical skills for addressing contemporary issues in public nutrition and health. Sustainable Nutrition explores the relationship between food systems, environmental impact, and long-term health, while Personalised Nutrition focuses on tailoring dietary approaches to individual needs and health outcomes. Physical Activity, Nutrition and Health examines the interplay between diet, exercise, and wellbeing, equipping students to promote healthier lifestyles. The module on Quality Improvement for Health and Wellbeing introduces methodologies for enhancing public health initiatives, ensuring interventions are effective and evidence-based. Eating Behaviour and Health Communication Skills develops an understanding of the psychological and social influences on food choices while strengthening the ability to design and deliver impactful health communication strategies. Nutritional Policy and Cultural Diets provides insight into how cultural practices and public policy shape dietary habits and health at both local and global levels. The program culminates in a Research Project, where students conduct independent, supervised work on a specialist area of their choice, applying their knowledge to practical or academic challenges. Collectively, these modules prepare graduates to make a meaningful contribution to improving health, wellbeing, and nutrition sustainability.
