COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Information Systems program offers a structured combination of compulsory and optional modules, along with supporting modules to enhance student development. All students are required to complete the compulsory modules, which provide a strong foundation in the design, implementation, and management of information systems. These include Consultancy and Technological Innovation, which focuses on applying technology-driven solutions to business challenges; Digital Transformation and Innovation, which explores how organisations leverage technology for competitive advantage; Human Computer Interaction for Information Systems, covering user-centered design and usability principles; Big Data Analytics, which teaches techniques for processing and interpreting large datasets; Research Methods, providing essential skills for systematic inquiry; and the Project Dissertation, where students apply their knowledge in a substantial independent research project. Students may also choose one optional module, with choices including Principles of Project Management, Mobile Web Component Development, and Security Operations and Assurance, allowing for specialization according to career interests. In addition, supporting modules such as Learning and Professional Development for international students, Employability Skills and Employment for internship participants, and Programming Support are provided to build practical skills and enhance career readiness. This combination ensures that graduates acquire both technical expertise and strategic insight, preparing them for successful careers in information systems, digital innovation, and technology management across diverse industries.
