The MSc Finance and Technology course is structured to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both core finance principles and emerging technological innovations, preparing them for careers in fintech, digital banking, and related sectors. The compulsory modules cover essential knowledge and skills needed to navigate the evolving financial landscape. Management Skills for Finance Professionals develops leadership, communication, and organisational abilities necessary for effective decision-making in professional contexts. Corporate Financial Management and Corporate Financial Reporting provide in-depth understanding of financial principles, reporting standards, and strategic planning, enabling students to analyse financial data and support organisational decision-making. Business Statistics and Forecasting equips students with quantitative and analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and apply statistical techniques to financial challenges. Blockchain and Decentralised Finance introduces students to emerging technologies and digital financial systems, while Big Data Analytics teaches how to leverage large datasets to inform strategic decisions and innovation in finance. Students can also choose an optional Dissertation or Applied Project, offering the opportunity to undertake independent research or practical projects that synthesise their learning and address real-world challenges.
