COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Applied Acoustics with Management course combines core acoustics knowledge with legal and managerial expertise to prepare students for careers where both technical and professional skills are essential. Compulsory modules include Principles of Acoustics, which provides a foundation in the science of sound and vibration, Legal Aspects of International Finance, which introduces students to financial and regulatory frameworks relevant to international business, and the Audio Engineering Dissertation, a capstone project allowing students to apply their knowledge to a substantial research or practical project. Alongside these core modules, students can choose from a variety of optional modules to tailor their learning to specific interests or career goals. Options include Acoustic Modelling and Simulation, Architectural Acoustics and Compliance, Electroacoustic Systems and Technologies, Environmental Noise: Assessment and Solutions, and Mathematics of Signal Processing, all of which deepen technical expertise. Students may also explore the legal and business dimensions of their field through modules such as Laws on International Business Structures, Commercial Intellectual Property Law, and Intellectual Property Law in the Digital Economy, or develop research skills through Engineering Research Methods.
