COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Public Health program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines core knowledge with the opportunity to tailor learning through optional modules. Students are required to study all compulsory modules, which provide a strong foundation in key areas of public health. These include Public Health and Health Systems, Global Public Health Challenges, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Research Methods for Public Health, Leadership and Management for Public Health, Health Policy and Principles, and the MPH Dissertation. Together, these modules develop expertise in understanding health systems, analyzing data, applying research methods, shaping policy, and leading initiatives to address complex public health issues. In addition, students select one optional module to deepen their knowledge in a specific area of interest. Options include Nutrition in Public Health, Gender, Health, and Development, Public Health Economics, Ageing Populations and Public Health, Environmental Health, Addiction Treatment Interventions, and Dual Diagnosis focusing on substance use and mental health. These choices allow students to tailor their studies to align with career aspirations and areas of passion, while also gaining specialist insights into contemporary health challenges. Overall, the program equips graduates with the critical knowledge and skills needed to contribute effectively to improving population health worldwide.
