COURSE CURRICULUM

The three-year Sound Engineering program provides students with a comprehensive blend of technical knowledge, practical skills, and creative expertise to pursue a professional career in the audio industry. In the first year, students develop foundational skills through modules such as audio electronics, quantitative tools for audio, theory of sound, studio recording techniques, engineering software, and production and critical listening. These modules introduce essential concepts in sound, signal processing, recording, and audio production, laying the groundwork for advanced study. In the second year, the focus shifts to applied and specialized knowledge, with modules including electroacoustics, mathematics for audio and signal processing, sound design and synthesis, acoustics, audio electronic design, and embedded systems for audio technology, alongside a non-credit-bearing live sound practice module. This stage enhances technical expertise and prepares students for real-world audio applications across multiple contexts. In the final year, students consolidate their learning through advanced modules such as sound system design, audio digital signal processing, mixing for screen and broadcast, audio programming for games, and a sound engineering project. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, creative experimentation, and professional development, ensuring that graduates leave with the skills, knowledge, and portfolio required to work as competent and versatile sound engineers in recording studios, live sound environments, broadcasting, gaming, and other audio-related industries.
